Abstract
Dans le cadre de recherches franco-quebecoises effectuees entre 1995 et 1997, cette etude propose une gestion integree des ressources et des pratiques agraires pour une utilisation rationnelle des terres de grandes cultures preservant le capital sol (structures, fertilite, infiltration) et la qualite des eaux. Les recherches portent sur la degradation des sols, la reduction des intrants de synthese par une utilisation raisonnee de sous-produits d'origine agricole (fumiers, residus de culture) ou non agricole (boues industrielles ou dechets urbains). Les principaux modes de recyclage des dechets organiques (enfouissement, incineration et valorisation agricole) sont analyses et les aspects legislatifs lies a leur utilisation sont compares dans les deux pays, ou ils sont en constante evolution. Les auteurs suggerent une gestion raisonnee afin de preserver la qualite de l'environnement, avec la mise en place d'un diagnostic spatial des problemes agro-environnementaux egalement utile pour gerer les paysages agraires.
