Abstract
Dans la foulée de la Révolution, le patrimoine culturel immatériel a fait l’objet d’un débat houleux en Tunisie. Il faut notamment penser aux expressions vestimentaires, artistiques, corporelles, culinaires et festives. Ce débat qui a donné lieu à quelques évènements violents, témoigne d’un malaise qui présidait depuis des décennies au rapport des Tunisiens au passé et à la mémoire collective. Autant dire qu’il renvoie à une crise latente qui n’a jamais été résolue et qui a éclaté telle une bombe à retardement en pleine face de tout le monde dès que l’autorité de l’État n’a plus été en mesure de la contenir par la force de la censure et de l’oppression. Afin de mieux saisir la teneur de ce bouleversement qui a divisé la Tunisie postrévolutionnaire entre modernistes et traditionnalistes, cet article fait état des expressions culturelles à la lumière desquelles le patrimoine culturel immatériel a été interpellé et disputé entre ces deux clans depuis la Révolution.
