La réussite scolaire en contexte d’éducation des adultes. Résultats et réflexions émergeant d’une recherche exploratoire

Abstract
Cette recherche aborde le thème de la persévérance et de la réussite scolaires à l’âge adulte en examinant les facteurs qui contribuent à la réussite du projet de formation d’adultes faiblement scolarisés. Dans ce contexte, des études de cas de six adultes inscrits en formation à un métier semi-spécialisé ont été réalisées. Des entrevues avec les adultes participant à la recherche ainsi qu’un groupe de discussion avec l’équipe enseignante encadrant ces mêmes adultes ont permis d’explorer les trajectoires de vie des adultes, et plus particulièrement leurs trajectoires éducatives. Outre les principaux aspects théoriques et méthodologiques de la recherche, nous présentons plusieurs résultats de celle-ci. Les biographies d’enfance des participants à la recherche ainsi que leurs biographies à l’âge adulte sont exposées et analysées à la lumière des différents facteurs intrapersonnels, interpersonnels et institutionnels entrant en jeu dans la réussite et la persévérance scolaires des adultes. Ces résultats nous ont permis de dégager plusieurs pistes d’intervention et de recherche, également présentées dans cet article.
