Abstract
Depuis la fin de la Seconde Guerre mondiale, l’Allemagne s’est affirmée sur la scène internationale grâce au soutien des États-Unis. La France, au contraire, a pu asseoir sa souveraineté en s’opposant régulièrement aux velléités d’hégémonie de son puissant allié américain. Pourtant, durant la présidence de George W. Bush, le couple franco-allemand a agi de concert, en dénonçant notamment l’intervention en Irak. Le 60 e sommet de l’ otan devrait voir la France revenir dans le système militaire intégré et s’amorcer ainsi une nouvelle phase des relations entre les trois États. Le rapprochement franco-américain amorcé par Nicolas Sarkozy aura sans doute pour conséquence une perte d’influence de l’Allemagne au sein de l’Alliance atlantique.
