Abstract
La sécurité des personnes âgées ayant des incapacités à domicile ne peut plus faire l’économie d’une harmonisation des mesures de protection pour tenir compte de leur vulnérabilité spécifique et de leur limite face à des risques présents dans les familles ou chez leurs proches. Entre les tâches de soins et le devoir de compassion pour le couple aidé-aidant peut se glisser chez les intervenants des jugements qui interrogent les limites de l’intimité par le fait même. La société civile est-elle étrangère à ce qui se passe derrière la façade familiale, l’intimité de la prise en charge serait-il un domaine de l’impunité ? L’outil ODIVA qui résulte d’une recherche action de plus de cinq ans entre la Suisse et le Québec permet de soutenir la volonté d’écoute des professionnels des services à domicile en vue d’entendre les victimes éventuelles et de mieux soutenir les aidants.
