Abstract
Parallèlement à la désexisation des textes, on trouve souvent une note nous informant que le masculin utilisé dans le document est générique, qu’il est universel et embrasse le féminin. L’autrice de l’article analyse la fréquence et le contenu de cette note dans les rapports annuels et déclarations de services des ministères et organismes gouvernementaux au Québec, où la parité linguistique est en principe l’usage. Y a-t-il vraiment un masculin universel cohérent dans ces textes ? Une formulation plus employée que les autres ? Cette note est-elle employée concurremment à d’autres méthodes de désexisation ? Une enquête est menée ici sur la disparition des femmes.
