Abstract
L’objet de cette étude est de mettre à l’épreuve un modèle théorique des déterminants de la performance scolaire au Cours préparatoire. L’accent est mis sur les caractéristiques affectives des élèves. Quatre-vingt-un enfants, suivis de l’école maternelle à l’école élémentaire, ont participé à l’étude. Le modèle d’équation structurale LISREL-VI appliqué aux données a révélé un réseau d’influences qui corrobore en grande partie les attentes théoriques tout en les nuançant. Les résultats montrent le rôle non négligeable que joue la maternelle sur le développement des élèves, notamment sur la perception de soi en tant qu’élève.
