Abstract
The use of sliding discharge in air is characterized by the emission of important quantities of nitrogen oxides NO x . We have shown that the utilization of convergent-divergent Laval's nozzle working in supersonic air flow offered the possibility to obtain, from the atmospheric pressure and with high gas flow rate, cold plasmas of interest for different industrial applications, without production of NO x . The very turbulent region of the shockwave, can present a great interest for the mix and the interaction of reactive species formed in the uphill flow.
