Abstract
Le développement des coopératives sociales en Italie a été particulièrement important depuis les années 1980. La loi a distingué deux types de coopératives sociales, celles qui visent la gestion des services sociosanitaires et éducatifs et celles qui réalisent diverses activités ayant pour but l'insertion dans le monde du travail de personnes défavorisées. Au-delà de ces objectifs, leur spécificité tient à la mobilisation d'une base sociale plus large et plus hétérogène que d'autres initiatives ayant les mêmes visées, en associant salariés, bénévoles, personnes en insertion et autres, dans leur gestion et leur administration. La présentation d'exemples de coopératives dans la province de Brescia montrera les innovations dont elles font preuve mais aussi la capacité qu'elles déploient pour s'organiser localement à partir de consortium. L'innovation coopérative dont font preuve ces initiatives remet à nouveau en question les séparations opérées entre le social, l'économique et le politique et fait écho à d'autres mouvements s'inscrivant dans une perspective d'économie solidaire.
