Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

The CLEO Collaboration has made the first observations of hadronic transitions among bottomonium ($b\overline{b}$) states other than the dipion transitions among $\ensuremath{\Upsilon}(nS)$ states. In our study of $\ensuremath{\Upsilon}(3S)$ decays, we find a significant signal for $\ensuremath{\Upsilon}(3S)\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\gamma}\ensuremath{\omega}\ensuremath{\Upsilon}(1S)$ that is consistent with radiative decays $\ensuremath{\Upsilon}(3S)\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\gamma}{\ensuremath{\chi}}_{b1,2}(2P)$, followed by ${\ensuremath{\chi}}_{b1,2}(2P)\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\omega}\ensuremath{\Upsilon}(1S)$. The branching ratios we obtain are $\mathcal{B}[{\ensuremath{\chi}}_{b1}(2P)\mathrm{\ensuremath{\rightarrow}}\ensuremath{\omega}\ensuremath{\Upsilon}(1S)]=({1.63}_{\ensuremath{-}0.31\ensuremath{-}0.15}^{+0.35+0.16})%$ and $\mathcal{B}[{\ensuremath{\chi}}_{b2}(2P)\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\omega}\ensuremath{\Upsilon}(1S)]=({1.10}_{\ensuremath{-}0.28\ensuremath{-}0.10}^{+0.32+0.11})%$, in which the first error is statistical and the second is systematic.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
