Abstract
D’un regard phénoménologique, intégrant quelques perspectives psychanalytiques lacaniennes, cette étude entend scruter d’abord combien, au temps de ma jeunesse dans les années 1950, la référence à l’horreur des guerres de 1914-1918 et de 1940-1944 se faisait de façon biaisée. J’y percevais la langue flamande comme fabrique d’une solidarité du peuple subalterne en Belgique, et au travers de laquelle il marquait sa différence d’avec la classe bourgeoise francophone. Ce traumatisme de guerre qui faisait ombre ou trou dans la mémoire du peuple, tout comme cette langue, ont soudé dans ma société paysanne d’origine un positionnement dans le monde et une manière d’être et de s’ajuster à l’autre fortement empreints d’affects, de non-dits et infléchis vers une attention au cours naturel des choses, aux entre-deux et ombres de la vie. La seconde partie s’interroge sur la manière dont, en début des années 1970, s’est développé mon désir d’adoption comme anthropologue dans le milieu subalterne des Yaka en République démocratique du Congo du sud-ouest. Et une réflexivité a posteriori cherche à décanter combien le traumatisme familial des guerres nourrissait indirectement ma sensibilité en milieu yaka tant pour les traces intergénérationnelles du trauma familial ou colonial et pour l’indicible en bordure de et entre les mots, que pour les dispositifs rituels visant à éclaircir cet impensé-dans-la-pensée.
