Abstract
À partir d'un projet pilote réalisé dans un quartier défavorisé et visant à prévenir des comportements agressifs chez des élèves du primaire, quelques données s'adressent plus particulièrement aux services sociaux à l'enfance-famille. Il ressort que les intervenants sociaux doivent pouvoir réorienter rapidement leurs actions. Des interventions informelles axées sur des formes de soutien social se présentent comme une piste à explorer auprès de clientèles que l'on peut difficilement atteindre par les approches traditionnelles. De plus, un certain malaise semble exister chez des clientèles concernées par des services liés à l'application de la Loi sur la protection de la jeunesse. Les familles rencontrées associeraient ces derniers à des mesures de représailles et de contrôle plutôt qu'à des services d'aide. Sommes-nous en présence d'un effet pervers? En conclusion, quelques hypothèses et questions sont soulevées pour le renouvellement des pratiques sociales dans ce secteur.
