Cet article aborde le thème de la communication interne, c’est-à-dire l’ensemble des transmissions et échanges d’information internes dans le contexte particulier de la PME. On y propose une typologie de la situation de la communication interne qui repose sur deux dimensions pertinentes puisque liées au dirigeant, acteur central de la PME. Ces dimensions tiennent, d’une part, à l’intérêt qu’il manifeste pour la communication interne dans son entreprise et; d’autre part, à ses représentations concernant les acteurs de l’entreprise. La typologie est illustrée à l’aide de 10 exemples concrets tirés d’études in situ réalisées dans des PMI d’une cinquantaine de salariés. Elle constitue un moyen original de diagnostic et d’orientation pour l’action.
