Résumé L’article s’intéresse aux comportements et attitudes de consommateurs argentins et mexicains à l’égard d’institutions financières. Il présente les résultats d’une enquête réalisée à Córdoba (Argentine) et à Monterrey (Mexique) auprès de consommateurs. Malgré certaines similarités entre les consommateurs argentins et mexicains, les résultats indiquent aussi des différences importantes au niveau des comportements. Une plus grande proportion de Mexicains dans l’échantillon détient un compte en banque par rapport aux participants argentins, en plus de faire affaire avec plus d’une banque. Par contre, lorsque les participants ont été interrogés sur leurs critères de sélection d’une banque, peu de différences ont été noté entre les deux échantillons. Les conclusions qu’on peut en tirer ont des implications pour les institutions financières désireuses de s’implanter dans ces pays.
