Les sources de stress, les émotions vécues et les stratégies d’ajustement des directions d’école au Québec

Abstract
Cet article rend compte d’une étude sur le stress professionnel des directions d’école au Québec. Une méthode mixte a été utilisée. Les sources de stress ont été identifiées par questionnaire avant d’être liées au vécu subjectif de directions filmées durant une journée de travail qui ont participé à un rappel stimulé par confrontation vidéo. Les résultats montrent que les principales sources du stress proviennent des contraintes administratives, des relations interpersonnelles et du renouveau pédagogique. Les directions d’école vivent de la colère et de l’anxiété devant les sources de stress, mais elles inhibent souvent leurs émotions et font de multiples compromis pour maintenir l’harmonie du milieu.
