Abstract
Les bibliothèques publiques du Québec ont réalisé des progrès importants, principalement depuis la fin des années 1970 : nouvelles constructions, rénovations, augmentation et diversification des collections, informatisation, Internet, services électroniques, ouverture de la Grande Bibliothèque. En cette ère du savoir, des actions bien ciblées, effectuées en concertation au sein d’un réseau, mettant largement à profit les technologies nouvelles, avec un personnel qualifié et nombreux, permettront d’atteindre un plus grand nombre de citoyens dans un esprit d’accessibilité et d’inclusion sociale.
