Abstract
Lors d’entretiens de couples effectués dans le contexte d’une recherche qualitative sur l’organisation financière des ménages, l’humour, l’ironie et le rire ont été mobilisés par les femmes pour souligner et dénoncer les inégalités économiques entre elles et leur partenaire. Par l’humour, les femmes partagent leur expérience et démontrent leurs capacités à reconnaître le pouvoir masculin et les transgressions de la norme égalitaire. L’humour féminin est toutefois une forme de subversion douce, car les inégalités, bien qu’elles soient relevées, ne sont pas discutées explicitement. L’humour contribue-t-il pour autant à maintenir le statu quo ? Non, car, en ciblant un système plutôt qu’une personne et en créant une alliance avec le partenaire, l’humour féminin est peut-être le meilleur moyen d’introduire du changement tout en préservant la relation.
