Best marketing and sales practices for technology start-ups: a review and fresh evidence
Bibliographic record
Abstract
This paper presents a summary of evidence from the literature, plus results of interviews with twelve technology start-up executives, concerning best marketing and sales practices that will help the technology start-ups be ready for launch, then close early sales, and bridge the chasm to achieve early growth. The interviews largely supported the literature, especially with respect to the need for a customer orientation. But they also added some interesting additional perspectives regarding the challenges facing non-U.S. companies that wish to launch into the world's largest market for technology.
