Tafisula [ça ne suffit pas] ou la Mami Wata est une création collective du Mwondo Théâtre de Lubumbashi, Zaïre (République démocratique du Congo) tirée de trois sources : la sirène blanche qui apporte la richesse et la mort (une icône de la peinture populaire et des légendes urbaines); un conte moral bemba d’un orphelin qui acquiert et ensuite perd un empire à cause de son avarice; et les problèmes socio-écologiques qui sévissent dans la région minière du cuivre où le spectacle a lieu. Après avoir décrit le contexte zaïrois des années 1970 et le processus de travail de la companie, ce texte retrace le déroulement de la performance et pose la question toujours pertinente : à qui sert réellement le développement capitaliste?
