Abstract
Este artículo presenta una propuesta de Geografía del Clima, que se contrapone a la noción de una Climatología Geográfica. Por lo tanto, volviendo a los inicios de la Climatología en Brasil, se ha buscado establecer las bases conceptuales de la incorporación del fenómeno climático en la ciencia geográfica. Se discute la revolución paradigmática iniciada por Max Sorre y la propuesta de Figueiredo Monteiro, que parte de la aceptación de la noción de ritmo como nuevo paradigma para el análisis geográfico del clima. También se apunta la conveniencia de desarrollar una nueva adecuación de los conceptos de apropiación de la naturaleza por una sociedad estructurada en clases sociales. En última instancia se propone una discusión en la que se valora la necesidad de una nueva razón para un nuevo conocimiento del fenómeno climático en la perspectiva social de la valoración de los recursos naturales.
