Que raconte la littérature réflexive des années quatre-vingt sur les recherches universitaires québécoises en communication médiatique? Telle est la question de recherche de cet article, lequel propose une analyse de la littérature réflexive définie comme un genre qui fait de son propre champ d’études – ici, la communication – l’objet de sa réflexion. Mobilisé par une préoccupation envers les interrelations qui se déploient entre la production des connaissances scientifiques et l’environnement contextuel de cette production, cet article dégage et explore l’une des deux thématiques principales qui traversent la littérature réflexive des années quatre-vingt en communication : celle de son identité.
