Abstract Eine neue Technik ermöglicht es, in einem einzigen Experiment Informationen über das höchste besetzte Molekülorbital sowie den Bindungsabstand eines Moleküls zu gewinnen. Damit sind Physiker der J.W. Goethe‐Universität Frankfurt in Zusammenarbeit mit Kollegen am National Research Council of Canada dem Ziel näher gekommen, in Echtzeit zu beobachten, wie sich sowohl das atomare Gerüst als auch die Elektronenwolke eines Moleküls während einer chemischen Reaktion verändern.
