Abstract
Ce texte propose que l’adoption d’une version particulière des théories dites « de l’affect », encore peu populaires en communication organisationnelle, permet de surmonter le dilemme de l’action organisationnelle – est-ce l’individu qui agit ou l’organisation ? – non pas en le résolvant mais en permettant une compréhension totalement différente de la constitution et de l’action des collectifs. En partant du préindividuel – terme développé par le philosophe français Gilbert Simondon – plutôt que de l’individu, il est possible d’étudier les manières concrètes qu’ont les entités de capturer mutuellement leurs actions pour investir un processus d’individuation. La communication est alors comprise comme propagation de l’action ; la signification, quant à elle, dépend de la participation de l’action à un processus d’individuation particulier. La perspective préindividuelle sera illustrée par l’analyse de certains segments du documentaire Les épouses de l’armée réalisé par Claire Corriveau (2007), où celle-ci rend compte de la relation tortueuse entre les épouses de militaires canadiens et l’armée.
