Abstract
Cet article s’inscrit dans une perspective qui essaie de décrire les parcours et les processus d’acquisition d’une langue seconde à travers l’analyse de l’interaction verbale. Nous essaierons de voir quels enjeux sous-tendent la dynamique d’apprentissage suivie par le locuteur moins compétent. Ces enjeux, loin d’être prioritairement morphosyntaxiques, se situent au niveau de la gestion de l’interaction. Pour l’apprenant, devenir compétent signifie pouvoir agir sur la relation d’interlocution à titre d’interactant à part entière. Il s’agit notamment pour lui de savoir gérer l’impact de son discours, par exemple à travers une maîtrise adéquate de l’argumentation et de la modalisation. Cette maîtrise suppose cependant l’acquisition d’outils linguistiques de type morphosyntaxique. Nous analyserons alors la dialectique qui s’instaure entre enjeux interactionnels et moyens linguistiques. Si l’interaction sert à apprendre, elle doit en quelque sorte être apprise.
