Éducation artistique à la formation à l’enseignement : autoévaluation de l’apprentissage réalisé lors d’une visite au Musée des beaux-arts du Canada

Abstract
Cet article porte sur la pratique pédagogique mise en oeuvre en éducation artistique dans un contexte particulier de formation. À l'automne 1996, 137 étudiantes et étudiants francophones, inscrits à la formation à l'enseignement élémentaire de la Faculté d'éducation de l'Université d'Ottawa, ont procédé à une autoévaluation de ce qu'ils ont appris en visitant les sections d'art moderne et contemporain du Musée des beaux-arts du Canada. L'analyse des réponses montre une compréhension accrue du sens personnel et professionnel qui ressort d'une expérience esthétique et l'importance à accorder au contexte social dans la réalisation d'une oeuvre artistique. Emergent également la nécessité d'encadrer toute visite au musée de manière à faciliter une ouverture d'esprit devant la nouveauté et la nécessité de reconnaître le bien-fondé de collaborer avec une institution muséale.
