Abstract
Cet article traite de quelques notions qui semblent essentielles à toute approche scientifique du social, c’est-à-dire les notionsde conduite, d’interaction, de relation. Il s’agit de voir en quoi il est pertinent de définir le social comme système de rapportsentre interactions ou relations dyadiques, et non comme une pure sommation des liens dyadiques. Pour fixer les idées, l’auteurcommence par discuter de la notion d’action réciproque chez Simmel et de la distinction que cet auteur classique proposed’établir entre formes et contenus de la vie sociale. Puis, avec comme illustrations quelques recherches classiques de psychologiesociale, il examine certaines modalités fondamentales des rapports entre interactions et relations, rapports qui représententdes liens directs ou indirects entre agents sociaux à l’intérieur de dyades et de triades informelles ou institutionnelles.
