Abstract
De tous les auteurs de crimes intrafamiliaux, le parricide est celui ou l’on retrouve le plus de personnes souffrant d’un trouble psychotique. A partir de l’experience clinique acquise a l’institut Philippe Pinel de Montreal aupres de cette population au cours des 20 dernieres annees, le cheminement therapeutique des patients et de leur entourage est decrit. Les principaux enjeux therapeutiques s’articulent autour des 5 observations suivantes : 1) les familles ne sont pas organisees en systemes pathologiques generateurs du crime ; 2) le deni de la pathologie mentale est toujours present ; 3) les patients traversent une phase initiale de deni du geste parricide et de ces consequences ; 4) les processus de deuil sont lourds et compliques tant pour le patient que pour sa famille ; 5) les reamenagements des relations familiales sont inevitables et se deroulent sur plusieurs annees.
