Abstract
Les tensions et paradoxes sont des mouvements inhérents aux organisations. Pourtant, nous en savons peu sur la façon dont les tensions organisationnelles sont gérées dans la pratique, et encore moins au sujet des non-humains impliqués dans ces pratiques. Cet article pose que les non-humains ne sont pas de simples intermédiaires d’interactions (strictement) humaines : ils modifient les relations, médiatisent les situations (Hennion et Latour, 1993) et sont des acteurs qui « font une différence » (Cooren, 2006) dans les tensions. Or, pour diverses raisons, ils sont généralement absents des analyses. Qui plus est, alors que, dans une approche du paradoxe, les tensions sont acceptées, dans les écrits, on dénote un biais fréquent pour l’un ou l’autre des pôles en tension. Partant de ces constats, une approche conceptuelle et méthodologique est proposée pour saisir l’action des non-humains dans les tensions. Fortement inspirée par la sociologie des épreuves, elle permet d’aborder les tensions dans une perspective de la pratique sensible à leur sociomatérialité et à leur acceptation.
