Abstract
Au cours des dernières décennies, les travaux menés autour de la memoria des défunts dans l’Occident chrétien médiéval ont conduit à mettre en relief le rôle des monastères : prépondérant dès l’époque carolingienne, il est une condition décisive du succès de Cluny aux xe-xie siècles. Or il est frappant de constater que l’activité mémorielle mise en œuvre à la même époque par les moines hispaniques n’a, pendant longtemps, guère suscité l’attention des historiens.
