Abstract
Le théâtre de Guan Suo (Yunnan, Chine) constitue une offrande aux dieux et une forme d’exorcisme contre les épidémies. Depuis les années 1980, et encore plus depuis la sortie du film Qianli zou dan qi 千里走单骑 / Riding Alone for Thousands of Miles de Zhang Yimou en 2006, il a suscité un regain d’intérêt dans une visée patrimoniale et de développement touristique. La présente contribution est consacrée à la manière dont le théâtre de Guan Suo a été reconnu comme patrimoine culturel immatériel national au terme d’une succession d’actions locales consécutives au film. L’impact du film est ainsi analysé dans différentes sphères de la société, depuis les acteurs de théâtre jusqu’aux élites politiques locales, en passant par les promoteurs touristiques et les universitaires.
