Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

The study on private waste disposal systems (septic tank-tile fields, cesspools, etc) was carried out as a part of the efforts of Activity 3 in the Canadian Task C investigations under the IJC/PLUARG Program(International Joint Commission/ Pollution From Land Use Activities Reference Group). This study consisted of two parts: (I) field investigations of some existing private waste disposal systems, and (II) estimation of pollutant loadings from systems in watersheds adjacent to the Great Lakes. This report covers the part on field investigations. The objectives of the field investigations were: (i) to study the quality of the ground water adjacent to private waste disposal systems. (ii) to estimate the attenuation of chemical pollutants by various soils, and (iii) on the basis of the findings obtained in the field, to review the guidelines set by the Ontario Ministry of the Environment pertaining to the design and construction of septic tank-tile field systems.

Fetched live from OpenAlex and de-inverted. Abstracts are not stored in this database: the inverted indexes are 8.6 GB of the frame’s 9.3 GB of text, and the host has 13 GB free.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
