Abstract
Le soja (Glycine · max (L.) Merr.) a été domestiqué en Chine et la plus grande diversité génétique pour cette espèce se trouve en Asie. En Amérique du Nord, cette diversité génétique est très restreinte. Ce projet visait à comparer la diversité· génétique chez deux collections de soja: une collection ± locale¿ composée de 1 00 lignées représentatives d'un programme d' amélioration génétique privé au Québec et une collection ±exotique¿ composée de 200 lignées provenant de plusieurs pays. Au total, 39 marqueurs microsatellites ont été utilisés pour génotyper les deux collections. Le nombre d' allèles par locus et le nombre d' allèles uniques étaient toujours plus grands dans la collection ± exotique ¿ que dans la collection ± locale ¿. Un sous-groupe, formé des 18 lignées les mieux adaptées, avait le potentiel d'augmenter considérablement la diversité génétique présente au sein de la collection locale.
