Abstract
RESUMEN: A partir de la observacin de que la muerte era construida mediticamente de distinta manera en dos catstrofes naturales -tsunami de Indonesia y huracn Katrina en Nueva Orleans-, elaboramos un metadiscurso, a partir del discurso periodstico que remitiese a los fundamentos filosficos y antropolgicos que preceden a la construccin de dichas representaciones. Para ello, se convoca a la filosofa, a la antropologa de la muerte y a la semitica en su punto de convergencia.
