Les rapports de genre et de classe se conjuguent et interagissent de manière différenciée au cours du temps, produisant des configurations qui structurent les devenirs individuels. À partir de plusieurs enquêtes biographiques menées auprès de femmes et de couples hétérosexuels, l’article analyse la dynamique réciproque des rapports de classe et de genre, et la manière dont celle-ci configure les parcours de femmes et de couples de classes populaires. De quelle manière ces rapports s’agencent-ils ? Nous montrerons que parfois ils s’amplifient réciproquement, alors que dans d’autres cas s’ouvrent des voies d’ascension sociale où seules quelques configurations conjugales spécifiques contribuent à la réduction des inégalités de genre.
