El género Mammillaria en Oaxaca: Relación entre filogenia y la distribución geográfica

Abstract
Se analiza la diversidad de especies del genero Mammillaria en Mexico para determinar el nivel en que se encuentra el estado de Oaxaca en cuanto a riqueza, endemismos y especies protegidas. Se determino la posible relacion filogenetica a nivel de series taxonomicas de las especies presentes en el estado de Oaxaca en relacion con tres zonas geograficas de la entidad. Oaxaca es el quinto estado en riqueza de especies del genero Mammillaria en Mexico, el tercero en especies protegidas, pero tiene el mayor numero de especies endemicas. Todas las especies de las series Longiflorae, Polyedrae, Supertextae y Sphacelatae estan en Oaxaca, y con excepcion de la serie Longiflorae que es exclusiva de Oaxaca, las especies de las otras series tambien se encuentran en otras entidades. Si bien las zonas de establecimiento de cada especie forman grupos caracteristicos de las regiones de la canada y de la mixteca, no es clara la relacion con sus series taxonomicas
