Este livro reúne estudos sobre Alimentação e Cultura e prioriza escritas e narrativas sobre o comer em distintos grupos e lugares. Fundamenta-se nas Ciências Humanas para diversas leituras sobre o comer e, assim, busca compreender a nutrição como ação social. E para conhecer o universo simbólico das relações entre cultura e alimentação, estudam-se o habitus, condutas, comportamentos alimentares, valores e crenças.
