Abstract
El articulo ofrece una comparacion entre las ideas de Collingwood sobre la metafisica y la religion y algunas de las posiciones de Lonergan, especialmente aquellas relacionadas con el metodo empirico generalizado, tal como fue desarrollado en Insight. Se hace un examen minucioso de la idea de Collingwood de presupuestos absolutos y del papel que juegan en la metafisica, y tambien de su logica de pregunta y respuesta, la cual se compara con las preguntas de Tomas de Aquino quid sit? y an sit?
