Depuis quelques années, le concept d’économie circulaire tend à se confirmer. Ce modèle économique émergent, qui vise essentiellement à maximiser les ressources déjà en circulation et à réduire l’empreinte écologique, déclasse l’économie linéaire, visiblement sur le déclin. Bien qu’encore méconnu, il repose entre autres sur l’écoconception, accroît manifestement la rentabilité et fidélise la clientèle. Outre le fait qu’il s’avère avantageux pour tous, ce mode de production permettra à l’entreprise du dirigeant qui y croit de se distinguer dans un marché où la volatilité du prix des ressources occasionne une tension constante. Déjà, en Asie et en Europe, l’économie circulaire, pressée par des défis environnementaux et sociaux en plus d’être stimulée par la réglementation, connaît une grande effervescence. Chez nous comme ailleurs, elle incarne un modèle d’affaires grâce auquel la créativité permet de dépasser les horizons explorés.
