Problemas de estrutura algébrica: uma análise comparativa entre as estratégias utilizadas no Brasil e no Québec (CO)

Abstract
Pesquisas realizadas no Brasil sobre a aprendizagem da algebra (Da Rocha Falcao, 1997; Teles, 2004; Lins e Gimenez, 2005) mostram que os alunos apresentam grandes dificuldades para resolverem problemas com esse tipo de estrutura. Elas vao na mesma direcao dos estudos realizados no Quebec (Kieran, 1992, 1995; Marchand e Bednarz, 1999, 2000), particularmente aqueles que adotam como abordagem didatica a resolucao de problemas. Em nosso estudo investigamos que estrategias sao mobilizadas por alunos de 6° ano do ensino fundamental na resolucao de problemas de estrutura algebrica. Para isso analisamos a producao de 708 alunos desse nivel de escolaridade na resolucao de problemas de partilha, em que fizemos variar o encadeamento e a natureza das relacoes envolvidas. Os resultados mostram que certas estruturas de problemas sao mais dificeis para os alunos que outras, e que o tipo de operacao associada as relacoes entre as incognitas tambem influencia o sucesso dos alunos.
