Depuis le début des années 2000, la France fait face à une crise du logement abordable. Les prix croissent, mais les revenus des ménages ne suivent pas. Dans le même temps, le confort des logements neufs s’améliore, offrant aux ménages qui ont la possibilité d’y habiter une meilleure qualité de vie. Mais à qui est réservé ce privilège ? Les ménages des catégories populaires sont-ils mis au ban du logement neuf ? Deux approches complémentaires permettent de répondre à cette question. L’une concerne l’accessibilité économique des logements neufs destinés aux ménages des catégories populaires. L’autre s’attache à examiner le peuplement des logements nouvellement construits.
