Abstract
This work has as purpose present the occurred changes in Sao Joao do Tauape residential quarter (Fortaleza- Ceara) and adjacencies with a new slum quarter creation, called City of God, and the change of some social habits, under the optics of the public space use, from the generation of constituted and lived deeply violence and apparent fear in the area, especially after the slum quarte creation, which brought with it sociability troubles correlatives the quarter's life organization way and consequently public space and citizen. For elaboration this work, was used methodology bases on literature revision and empirical experience, working with the categories of violence's analysis, fear and territory, searching to insert the lived experience and the intensification of the conflict between unreliability and the quarter daily. One becomes thus, a contribution for the agreement of other possible similar relations and parallel bars
