Abstract
At the urging of the monarchy, and in response to a desire to become more fully engaged in global economics, The Royal Government of Bhutan recently took steps to create a new governance system and is now in the midst of a major transition to a system of constitution-based parliamentary democracy. This transition has been carefully planned over the last ten years, and was devised by the Fourth King, His Majesty Jigme Singye Wangchuk. Since his coronation the fourth king has introduced Bhutan to the world and has brought about a significant number of changes in Bhutan’s foreign policies. These keywords were added by machine and not by the authors. This process is experimental and the keywords may be updated as the learning algorithm improves.
