Abstract
Le paysage politique dans la Saskatchewan a bien changé ces dernières années. Autrefois symbole du « socialisme agraire », la province est devenue un bastion du parti conservateur. Ce basculement politique s’est accompagné d’un autre changement au niveau des pratiques religieuses. Les grandes églises protestantes, autrefois proches du CCF/NPD, subissent les effets de la sécularisation tandis qu’un renouveau religieux bénéficie aux petites sectes protestantes dont les valeurs politiques se situent à droite. Cet article cherchera donc à corréler ces deux phénomènes pour avancer que la transformation de la culture politique régionale est liée au changement des pratiques religieuses. Aujourd’hui, comme par le passé, la ferveur chrétienne se révèle être un élément important de la culture politique saskatchewannaise.
