We present the results of a search for doubly charged Higgs bosons (${H}^{\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}}$) decaying to dileptons ($l{l}^{\ensuremath{'}}$) using $\ensuremath{\approx}240\text{ }\text{ }{\mathrm{p}\mathrm{b}}^{\ensuremath{-}1}$ of $p\overline{p}$ collision data collected by the CDF II experiment at the Fermilab Tevatron. In our search region, given by same-sign $l{l}^{\ensuremath{'}}$ mass ${m}_{l{l}^{\ensuremath{'}}}>80\text{ }\text{ }\mathrm{G}\mathrm{e}\mathrm{V}/{c}^{2}$ ($100\text{ }\text{ }\mathrm{G}\mathrm{e}\mathrm{V}/{c}^{2}$ for $ee$ channel), we observe no evidence for ${H}^{\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}}$ production. We set limits on $\ensuremath{\sigma}(p\overline{p}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{H}^{++}{H}^{--}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{l}^{+}{l}^{\ensuremath{'}+}{l}^{\ensuremath{-}}{l}^{\ensuremath{'}\ensuremath{-}})$ as a function of the mass of the ${H}^{\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}}$ and the chirality of its couplings. Assuming exclusive same-sign dilepton decays, we derive lower mass limits on ${H}_{L}^{\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}}$ of 133, 136, and $115\text{ }\text{ }\mathrm{G}\mathrm{e}\mathrm{V}/{c}^{2}$ in the $ee$, $\ensuremath{\mu}\ensuremath{\mu}$, and $e\ensuremath{\mu}$ channels, respectively, and a lower mass limit of $113\text{ }\text{ }\mathrm{G}\mathrm{e}\mathrm{V}/{c}^{2}$ on ${H}_{R}^{\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}}$ in the $\ensuremath{\mu}\ensuremath{\mu}$ channel, all at the 95% confidence level.
