STATISTICAL RESOURCE CENTER (SRC) is a collection of fully interactive, graphical JAVA applets, developed for teaching basic statistics. The SRC consists of a linear regression applet, a collection of probability applets, and twelve applets exploring fundamental statistical distributions. The SRC center is under development and its current URL is http://www.acs.ucalgary.ca/~nosal/src The regression applet displays a scattergram with an interactive regression guess-line as well as the line of best fit. The probability applets employ video clips to demonstrate the games of poker, craps, roulette, and the associated probabilities. SRC statistical distribution applets allow a graphical interactive exploration of the shape and location of the Gaussian, Student, Chisquared and Fisher distributions. In addition, these applets also allow remote computations of the distribution critical points and tail probabilities over the Internet. All the numerical computations are supplemented with interactive animated graphical presentations, which demonstrate the meaning of the computed values.
