Abstract
This study provides an investigation of foreign direct investments changing patterns in Russia between 1994 and the first quarter of 2009. Inward and outward FDI are presented with the overview of Russian economic sectors and international partners. The Russian Federation investment position with Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) countries is discussed separately. The advantages of FDI in Russia and its limitations are investigated. The impact of the global financial crises on the Russian economy and financial flows is discussed at the end.
