Abstract
Tension arises within me when I think about change leadership. Linking these words too closely implies that leadership is only about change. However, very often and very importantly leadership is about sustaining what is already present and good (Hargreaves & Fink, 2006). I also have concerns about how change is related to the modern myth of progress, as well as how change, even good change, can be the result of an abusive use of power.
