Abstract
Quand la communication publique se construit à partir d’un organisme qu’est une grande ville, elle doit s’adapter selon de nombreuses contraintes politiques, identitaires, idéologiques... La communication publique devient alors territoriale et peine à choisir l’échelle idéale pour porter des discours sur le développement métropolitain. Dans le cas de Rennes, l’un des pôles français qui a développé le plus d’échelles urbaines (du centre-ville à l’aire urbaine), le discours de communication tend à privilégier les échelles d’actions politiques auxquelles sont attachés les entrepreneurs d’image que sont les chargés de communication publique
