Abstract
Les rapports sociaux de sexe, de classe ou de race peuvent-ils être neutralisés par les procédures participatives et délibératives ? Selon la critique féministe adressée aux théories délibératives, la reconnaissance des groupes sociaux et du caractère situé de tout point de vue devrait assurer une meilleure inclusion des acteurs habituellement minoritaires. Mais pour d’autres auteurs, une telle proposition est contradictoire avec les logiques de la délibération. Cet article se propose d’étudier la portée et les limites de la mise en débat des rapports sociaux à partir de l’analyse des conférences municipales des femmes de Recife, au Brésil. Il montre que si les rapports sociaux les plus reconnus dans le dispositif sont d’abord ceux qui ont fait l’objet d’une politisation au sein des milieux féministes, le dispositif représente également un espace de négociation des conceptions légitimes de la cause des femmes.
