Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

A novel technique to implement a multitap microwave photonic filter with positive and negative coefficients based on the inherent birefringence in a <formula formulatype="inline" xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink"><tex Notation="TeX">$\hbox{LiNbO}_{3}$</tex></formula> phase modulator is proposed and demonstrated. In the proposed filter, a microwave signal is applied to the phase modulator and an optical polarizer is connected at the output of the phase modulator to perform polarization interference and phase-modulation to intensity-modulation (PM–IM) conversion. Thanks to the inherent birefringence in the <formula formulatype="inline" xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink"><tex Notation="TeX">$\hbox{LiNbO}_{3}$</tex></formula> crystal, a <formula formulatype="inline" xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink"><tex Notation="TeX"> $\pi$</tex></formula> phase shift is obtained by adjusting the wavelength spacing between two adjacent wavelengths, which leads to the generation of a positive coefficient and a negative coefficient. An equivalent experiment is performed. Four-tap and six-tap microwave photonic filters with positive and negative coefficients are experimentally demonstrated. The reconfigurability of the four-tap and six-tap microwave photonic filters is also investigated.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
